INFP Females

Women with the INFP personality type

INFP females tend to be naturally empathetic and reserved. They are likely to prioritize close friendships over building connections with everyone they meet. They may be naturally adaptable and, at times, spontaneous, often preferring to avoid unnecessary strict routines. They have a creative way of seeing the world around them and can offer interesting, unique solutions to significant problems.

Famous INFP Females

Anne Frank

Anne Frank was incredibly thoughtful and creative. Her ability to think about the themes and complex topics of life, even at such a young age and through such a difficult time, is part of why people continually come back to her diary. She felt things deeply and had an artistic, creative way of sharing them.

Audrey Hepburn

Most people know Audrey Hepburn as being graceful and warm, both while acting in movies and responding to questions in interviews. But her reserved, empathetic nature showed more later in her life, when she dedicated much of her time to volunteering with UNICEF.

Emily Dickinson

A natural introvert, Emily Dickinson was drawn to the big ideas in life. Her poetry reflects her creative, but complex way of viewing the world around her. She frequently expresses herself through emotional language and generally took life day by day.

Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys’ introversion may be most shown by how she naturally stays out of the celebrity spotlight. She cares deeply for her friends and family and shows a helpful, service-oriented spirit in her humanitarian work with the organization “Keep a Child Alive”.

Julia Roberts

Like other INFPs, Julia Roberts shows devotion to her tight-knit circle of friends and family. She tends to avoid being the center of attention and, instead, supports others around her.

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt shows great care and attention to the people she cares most about. She stays close with her family, even when she’s away, and generally avoids being out regularly. Her acting ability and diversity of range illustrates her creativity.

INFP Males

Men with the INFP personality type

INFP males are likely to be creative, more emotionally-motivated personalities, who tend to have an easy time seeing the world from others’ perspectives. They may be skilled at adapting to situations as needed, and tend to think deeply about important, complex issues. INFP males may be criticized unfairly by others for being so naturally connected to their emotions. However, their empathetic disposition makes them great at understanding and connecting more deeply with others.

Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was a reserved, deeply emotional writer who wrestles with complex themes in his poetry and short stories. Like most INFPs, he loved to think in new ways and tended to express this by writing unique, complex pieces.

J.R.R. Tolkien

Tolkein’s ability to see things from other perspectives helped add to his writing in pieces like The Lord of the Rings. Writing also gave him time to be alone and think through deeply complicated topics in an interesting, creative way.

Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain was a reserved, caring empath. In his short life, he used his skills in creativity to write plenty of heartfelt songs that connected with many people.

Stephen Colbert

A self-proclaimed INFP, Stephen Colbert may not seem like a traditional Empath on the surface. However, his ability to think deeply and from different perspectives helps him write and perform funny pieces that connect with people.

Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens is another example of an INFP who uses his skills of understanding and empathy to write personal, emotional songs that reach others on a deeper level. He tends to stay out of the spotlight when he’s not performing and shows dedication to the people he’s closest to.
