The rarest personality type
406,736 completed 16-type assessments, with 709,128 Enneagram and 710,453 DISC for comparison
Among 406,736 people who took a Crystal 16-type assessment the rarest result is ESTP at 1.65% and the most common is INFJ at 11.39%, which is close to the inverse of the frequencies published for the US population and is a measure of who takes personality tests rather than of how rare any type is.
Which framework feels most accurate

Of six personality frameworks, people who rated their own results found Strengths and Life Values the most accurate at 4.63 and 4.61 out of 5, and rated the Enneagram and Big Five lowest at 4.30 and 4.32, a spread of a third of a point across 25,814 ratings.
DISC type distribution
710,453 completed assessments
Among 710,453 completed DISC assessments, 32.6% came out with a dominant S and 18.9% with a dominant C, making S the most common dominant type and C the least.
Enneagram type distribution
709,128 completed assessments
Among 709,128 completed Enneagram assessments, Type 5 was the most common at 16.6% and Type 3 the rarest at 5.7%.
Enneagram wing distribution
36,560 completed assessments with a scored wing
Among 36,560 Crystal Enneagram assessments scored for a wing, seven of the nine types lean to one wing by a margin between 56/44 and 65/35, Type 8 is nearly settled at 88.5% 8w7, and Type 9 shows no detectable lean at 50.2% 9w8 against 49.8% 9w1.

On all six frameworks, the friends and colleagues someone invites to review their personality result rate it more accurate than the person does: 4.60 against 4.41 across 49,161 ratings, with the gap widest on the Enneagram at 4.58 against 4.30 and narrowest on Strengths at 4.68 against 4.63.
A note on every figure here
These samples are people who chose to take an online personality test. That is not the general population and the difference is large: introverted and intuitive types take these tests at far higher rates than everyone else. Each study states its population in the first line, and none of them should be cited as population statistics.
