Data as of
September 30, 2026
| Dominant type | Share | Count |
|---|---|---|
| S, Steadiness | 37.6% | 34,472 |
| C, Conscientiousness | 26.7% | 24,452 |
| I, Influence | 21.1% | 19,363 |
| D, Dominance | 14.5% | 13,323 |
The reserved half of the model dominates: S and C together are 64.3% of results, against 35.7% for I and D.
D being the rarest dominant type at 14.5% is worth holding alongside how often D-style behaviour is treated as the default in workplace advice. The assertive, fast-deciding profile that management writing tends to assume is the least common one here.
Method
- Every completed DISC assessment that produced a dominant type, counted once per completion.
- Where two types tie, the assessment records a single primary; those are counted under that primary.
- Staff, demo and test accounts are excluded.
What this cannot tell you
- Self-selected sample. These are people who chose to take a DISC assessment, not a population.
- DISC assigns a dominant letter, which compresses four continuous scores into one label and loses the person whose top two are nearly equal.
- This is Crystal’s DISC implementation. Other DISC instruments cut the same underlying traits differently and would produce different shares.
