After a meeting
The meeting review
A short assessment that arrives after a meeting ends, while you still remember it. How it went, anything worth keeping, and what you now know about the people who were there.
What it asks
How a meeting went, while it is still fresh.
- How the meeting went
- Anything worth remembering from it
- What you learned about each person in it
The twenty minutes where the detail is still there
What you know about a colleague is mostly built in the twenty minutes after a meeting, and almost none of it gets written down. By the following week the specifics have gone and what remains is a general impression, which is the least useful form the information takes.
Asking immediately is the whole mechanism. The questions are not clever; they are just asked while the answer is still available.
The per-person notes are the part that compounds. They go into what Crystal knows about each person, so the next time you meet them it can tell you something specific rather than something generic about their personality type.
How Crystal asks it
Inside the product.
- Arrives only for events that are verifiably meetings: a real attendee who is not you, not declined, not all-day, and ended.
- You can skip one, skip a whole recurring series, or never be asked about meetings with a given name.
- It is the only reason to connect a calendar, and nothing else in the product reads it.
